Sparks Weddings along with Sparks Travel will take care of the entire logistics for your trip to Guatemala before the wedding.

The cost of this trip will be added to your proposal and it will include:

Additionally wedding costs such as samples, tastings, trials, and others will be added to your proposal.

Please take note that we will request your permission in advance for the amounts to be charged.

To organize this, you must:

  1. Have checked and approved the initial proposal (the SUMMARY OF CHARGES tab).

  2. Check Sparks Weddings’ availability first (please do not buy tickets before).

  3. Plan your trip between May - July. We will NOT accept any visits outside these months.

  4. Have availability of 3 weekdays (one in Guatemala City and 2 in Antigua Guatemala / Lake Atitlan)

  5. Have your dates, venues and the top 5 vendors (venue, catering, photographer, videographer & florist) selected.

  6. Have the following ready:

    1. Pinterest board up to date with all the sections needed:
      • Ceremony decor
      • Cocktail reception decor
      • Reception decor
      • Table settings
      • Stationary ideas
      • Cake design
      • Color schemes
      • Floral decor
      • Bridesmaid’s dresses
      • Hairstyles
      • Favors
      • Makeup
      • Place cards
      • Seating charts
      • Gifts for the wedding party
      • Inspirational weddings
    2. Menus from catering company for all events (welcome cocktail / dinner + wedding day).
      1. Appetizers will not be tasted since this is part of all catering companies polices.
      2. All tastings will be charged for 4 guests (that’s their minimum).
    3. Cake flavor + fillings (please remember that desserts will not be tasted as well):

    d. Hair and make-up styles – please make sure to have your Pinterest board up to date with a specific section for these. Also make sure to bring any hair accessories or your vail.

    e. And any other item required for your visit.

  7. No children, babies, relatives, pets or friends are allowed during our meetings with vendors (we can make exceptions with mothers or mothers-in-law)
